Does false advertisement and character assassination effect the way you vote, or is a waste of advertisement?

The Barack Obama campaign has sent out a fundraising e-mail that equates a new pro-Hillary Clinton group with the Swift Boat Veteran for Truth that opposed John Kerry’s presidential candidacy in 2004.

As Newsmax reported on Wednesday, Democratic insiders have set up a new independent 527 organization called the American Leadership Project to help Hillary beat Obama in Ohio — and possibly Texas and Pennsylvania as well.

The e-mail from Obama’s campaign manager, David Plouffe, states: “The so-called ‘American Leadership Project’ will take unlimited contributions from individuals and is organized the same way as the infamous Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.

“ABC News reports that this group is seeking 100 Clinton supporters to each give $100,000 to fund its $10 million effort to promote Senator Clinton and ‘contrast’ her positions with Barack Obama’s…

“Groups like this are forbidden from working primarily for the purpose of electing or defeating a candidate. Yet here we have a committee that springs up on the eve of an election, promotes a specific candidate, and has no history or apparent purpose of lobbying specific issues outside the benefit to the candidate or these communications. This raises a number of legal and ethical issues…

“Americans are ready for change. We are tired of Swift Boat-style groups and smear campaigns.”

The e-mail, with the subject line “A hundred versus a million,” also discloses that nearly 1 million individuals have donated to Obama’s campaign.

An attached message from Obama says almost one million people are “taking ownership of this movement, five dollars or twenty-five dollars at a time.

“Unlike Senator Clinton or Senator McCain, we haven’t taken a dime from Washington lobbyists or special interest PACs.”Does false advertisement and character assassination effect the way you vote, or is a waste of advertisement?
i think obama is making promises he can't keep and has no ideas what the presidency's all about.

false advertisements actually just piss me off, personally.

We need a REAL bush in the White House! Hillary '08Does false advertisement and character assassination effect the way you vote, or is a waste of advertisement?
its a waste of ad money. Hillary needs to cut it out before she has to take out another loan.

Vote Obama
Dirty tactics will be used by the candidates and it is a sure way of diminishing the votes of their rivals.
I don't allow a person, people, news media etc. to influence my vote. H. Clinton and J. McCain would do anything to win--It's a power game to them and both are hungry.

Politics does not need to be so dirty, some candidates feel they have no other option---this does not show me character nor integrity.
I think Obama's nose is growing longer. That hype he is peddling about his campaign funds is simply not truthful. Obama and Hillary have a lot of the same corporate contributors. And I think Exelon contributions are being bundled. I don't think Obama has collected as much money as he claims. I saw stats that said Obama raise 80B and Hillary 113B. This is one HUGE reason why I will never support Obama. He lies and stretches the truth!

As to John Kerry, he lost the 2004 election on his own. I was talking to a Vietnam vet the other day who views Kerry as a traitor who toured with Hanoi Jane. The ';sour old men club'; of Kennedy, Kerry and Gore will never allow a woman to attain something that they never could.

Obama is a peddler of words...all talk and no action.

No...I made my decision as if I was hiring someone for a job....performance, experience, attendance were all considered. Obama is lacking and whatever propaganda the ';Sour old men club'; published is just a waste of paper.
It is a vast waste of money on me... but there are a whole lot of people who will read the crap.. from either side, and make a decision that way.

I saw one person on here say she will vote for Obama because he might be on Saturday Nite Live... now there's the way to choose your president.

I think voters should have to take an intelligence test before being allowed to vote..lol
