Can I sue Burger King for false advertisement?

Coupon reads as follows:

';One free WHOPPER sandwich or Original Chicken sandwich with purchase of ANY size drink and fries after completing our brief survey.';

I completed the survey and walked in the store. I ordered a small drink and one order of small fries.

I was denied and told that I needed to order a medium or large drink/fries to get my free Whopper or Chicken Sandwich.

Clearly the coupon reads ANY SIZE drink or fries.

Can I sue? Can I sue Burger King for false advertisement?
If the coupon was as crystal clear as you describe, the cashier or manager you had seems to have misunderstood it (don't ask me how). I'd bet a dollar that anyone else, at that location or any other, would have honored the coupon.

So on that point, because the coupon was issued by Burger King and is apparently quite explicit, you couldn't sue them for false advertising. You can complain to the company about what happened at the restaurant, though, and you'll probably score some more free food out of it. Do it in writing and be polite, and you'll get a good response. Even if you sued all you would get is a whopper. Do you actually think that they would change the statement just so they could lose when you sue. All they would have to say is we will give him a whopper and your case is thrown out of the court at you to bear the whole cost of filing and the summons. The court will not make them give you money just because the ad lied to you. Even if your right all they need to do is give you a whopper and if you wanted more, it's a different case. After that your just someone who goes around sueing for sales ad. Like this is not the best computer, so sue Dell etc.....
Yes, you can sue but, then you must ask your self it would be cost-worthy. An extra $0.50 for a larger fry and drink is alot more cost-efficient then, a few thousand just to lose to a large corporation with a good team of lawyers.
Did the coupon include words to the effect of ';limited time only';? If so, the limited time had expired.
I wouldn't sue i would tell them that it said any size blah blah blah. Then i would show them the coupon.
Burger king is not that bright apparently...but chill out, dont go sueing people over burgers and fries.... just pay your five dollars and go....lol
