False Advertisement. what are my rights?

my father purchased a used Toyota Tarago from a 2nd hand car dealership.

it was advertised on ebay as a 1994 model.

i went to the car dealership with him and we looked at it, tested it, everything was in good condition. it had some minor problems but they said dont worry we will fix them (tyres to be changed etc...) we thought great.

neither me or my father knew too much about that model tarago but from what we saw we were happy, so we arranged to purchase it.

a few days later my dad brought it home, and i noticed that the cars registration sticker says it is actually a 1992 model.

we would not have purchased it if we knew it was that old, but we believed what they advertised, that it was a 1994. so we didnt need to ask.

what are our rights? can we get our money back? what can we do? we wanted a 1994 not 1992 model.

-we were not given a warranty.

Please help, because i dont know too much and i believe they took advantage of my dad because he trusted them.False Advertisement. what are my rights?
If the car is in decent shape, I think it's a waste of time to try to argue the sale. But if you want to argue it, then take it back immediately. They have to take it back within 3 days of purchase. Take a copy of the listing and show them that it was misadvertised. Should they refuse to allow you to return it, get information on them. Their dealership license needs to be posted somewhere in the business. Contact the licensing bureau with a letter of complaint about their business practices. Write the Better Business Bureau. Write to the Chamber of Commerce in the town where the car dealership is. Put all complaints in writing. Basically, you want to make it too time consuming for them to deal with you, so they'll take the car back just to get rid of you. Limit the amount of miles you put on this car, as the dealership may argue that you have used it too much for them to take it back.False Advertisement. what are my rights?
You can take it to court and you should get your money back, because it was false advertising, no need to sue tho, unless it's a last stance.
Next time read everything and ask a lot of questions. I leased a car and later found out it was a salvaged car. There should have been a paper in the window what did that say?
