I had an incendent where i entered a competition in a photography company. They offered a photo shoot of your child if you ';rang the telephone number in the next 10 mins';. I did and low and behold 2 daysor so later, i had a phone call saying i had not won the first prize, but i have won a photo shoot for my child. BUT! i had to pay $90.00 (AUS) to ensure a placement. Then i still had to pay $500.00 for the package at the end. They told me i had to confirm the placement right then and there by credit card or i would loose the ';prize';.





What a joke! It is high pressure selling at it's worse. Using your children as leverage to get what they want. I am relunctant to name the company because they have apparently mended their ways by a report to Consumer affaris.True or False: You know a business that use false advertisement?

TRUE! Purdue Pharmaceuticals advertised to Doctors and consumers saying their new drug (at that time) Oxycontin was a safe drug and was less addictive then Percocet (which is made with the same drug as Oxycontin, which is Oxycodone.) Oxycontin is pure Oxycodone. Percocet is Oxcodone mixed with Tylenol. Oxycontin is stronger, and much more addictive than Percocet. It has ruined many lives and turned innocent people into drug addicts.

True, but not all the time! If something sounds too good, it probably is! Taking time to research the business is really important. If they claim to be a licensed contractor, ask for their license number then check on your state's web site to verify whether or not they are telling the truth!
I don't know about businesses, but don't you think it's stupid to run for something and say '; Don't vote for a politician, vote for me!'; I've seen a lot of commercials where people say that.
